The MEGA Dream ex subset is built around standout reprints from 2024 and 2025, bringing back a wide range of memorable Pokémon and Trainer cards. It includes returning favorites such as Pokémon ex, Tera Pokémon ex, and Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. Alongside the reprints, the set also introduces several new Mega Evolution Pokémon and characters from Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Notable additions include Mega Dragonite and Mega Eelektross as fresh Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, as well as the debut of Canari as a Supporter card. This subset also launches a new Mirror Holofoil Energy pattern and features various Poké Ball patterns that can appear on select cards.
MEGA Dream ex adds a brand new card rarity known as MA or Mega attack rare. These cards are full art Mega Evolution Pokémon ex illustrated in a bold pop art style, with the featured attack written in oversized lettering across the front. Interestingly, the attack text swaps languages between regions, with English releases displaying Japanese text and the Japanese versions showing English text. The overall look brings back the energetic style of the Mega Evolution Pokémon-EX cards from the XY Series.
The set released in Japan on November 28, 2025, followed by a Traditional Chinese release on December 5, 2025. Each booster pack contains ten cards and guarantees either a Pokémon ex or a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. Booster boxes contain ten packs in total. Cards outside the ex and Mega Evolution ex categories do not display rarity symbols. Many cards from this subset appear in the English Ascended Heroes expansion.

The top four cards are undeniable standouts, and I am especially drawn to Iris, Metagross, and the new Mega Attack rares. This set is absolutely loaded with powerful chase cards, and I am fully here for it.
