Phantasmal Flames marks the second major installment in the Mega Evolution Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, expanding the lineup of powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. At the center of the set is Mega Charizard X ex, supported by appearances from Mega Gengar ex and several other Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, alongside a variety of standard Pokémon ex. The expansion places a strong thematic emphasis on Fire-type and Darkness-type Pokémon.
Drawing from Japan’s Inferno X expansion, as well as the MEGA Starter Set Mega Gengar ex and MEGA Starter Set Mega Diancie ex, Phantasmal Flames offers a robust card list exceeding 120 entries. Players can expect six Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, four Pokémon ex, 13 illustration rare Pokémon, 17 ultra rare cards spanning Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, Trainer, and Energy categories, and five special illustration rare cards featuring select Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Supporter cards.
Phantasmal Flames is scheduled for worldwide release on November 14, 2025, bringing a fresh wave of Mega-powered strategy to the TCG.

Those are the top 10 most valuable cards from the Pokémon Phantasmal Flames set. Which ones are you most excited about? Personally, I can’t get enough of the Mega Charizard X ex SIR. It is one of the strongest Charizard illustrations ever released, even if the text does hide poor Charmander a bit.
